You have a few options.
1.6 stamped steel rockers from a SBC V8, then re-use your old ball and nut.
1.6 stamped steel rockers from a SBC and get new "adapter studs" that use
the 3/8 stud / ball and nuts.
1.6 full roller rockers with the adapter studs
1.52 roller tip rockers
1.60 roller tip rockers
I would not recommend the 1.6 stamped steel rockers as they will shorten the
life of your valve guides and seals.
Your simplest swap is a set of 1.6 roller tip rockers and then re-use your
old ball and nuts. I have done both 1.52 and 1.6 on several cars, including
one car that had a high lift cam and added the 1.6's on top of that.
The gain from the 1.6's is an overall better intake and exhaust flow rate
through the head. The gross lift at valve will be increased. roughly .030
(stock is about .400 cam lift, with the 1.6 rockers you get about .430 lift
at cam.) Although the rockers don't increase your seat to seat duration,
due to the fact the valve is open further it spends more time over the .350
area of the curve. So it helps in that area as well.
I have built and raced 4 2.8's before finally giving up on them when
reliability became a factor just over 200hp mark. I moved on a 4.9 V8 as I
have lots of room to grow in the 4.9. Its starts at 200hp and goes up from
there.

more power?
